The AMAX-80-C controller by SALZ Automation is a compact yet powerful Linux real-time controller, enhanced by FLECS technology. It features an Intel® Celeron 3955U 2.0 GHz Skylake Dual Core processor, offering robust computing capabilities. The controller includes a DATA EXCHANGE LAYER (D.E.L.), essential for managing data exchange between installed applications. It supports EtherCAT I/O modules from the AMAX-5000 series for seamless integration with various I/O devices and has an integrated PCIe interface on the left side, allowing easy addition of communication modules such as NVRAM or WiFi. The AMAX-80-C, with its D.E.L., is an ideal open control platform for tackling future challenges. Pre-installed with SALZ Software PURE/FLECS, the AMAX-80-C provides a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) and operates independently of internet connectivity. Applications within PURE are deployed as Docker containers, ensuring flexibility and efficient resource utilization. Software and applications for the AMAX-80-C can be downloaded from the SALZ Automation website in the "Resources" section, available post-registration. Pure can be upgraded to FLECS which has an inbuilt FLECS App Store for downloading applications on the controller. The AMAX-80 and PURE deliver a robust solution for data acquisition, transmission, control, and analysis in automation projects.

SALZ Software PURE
SALZ Software PURE, which comes pre-installed on SALZ Controllers, provides an intuitive GUI and operates independently of internet connectivity. The D.E.L. within PURE efficiently manages data exchange through Docker containerized applications, enhancing flexibility and resource utilization.
Multi-Runtime support
The system supports several runtime systems simultaneously, for example two Codesys programs together with the SALut system. This makes it possible to control several machines with one control hardware or to build your own re-use concept.
Management of data exchange between installed applications
The D.E.L. technology uses mechanisms from the field of Shared Memory and OPC-UA. The two resulting data pools are kept constantly synchronized. This ensures data exchange between real-time and non-real-time applications. To ensure that only the data that should be exchanged is exchanged, the D.E.L. also contains a user and rights management that is operated by the user.
